I am a Professorial Lecturer in the Department of  Neuroscience at American University, where I serve as Program Director of the BS neuroscience major and teach core and upper-level courses such as behavior neuroscience and neuroanatomy.

My research goal is to integrate behavioral, neuroanatomical, and molecular studies to understand the long-lasting impact of how diet and stress during adolescence affect brain function and behavior, with a focus on motivation and the social domain.

Beyond the lab, I am passionate about sports (soccer at the most), cooking, and engaging in charitable activities to support underrepresented demographics.
